When my partner Eddy and I first launched our business One More Song DJs, we looked like everyone else. This meant we weren't always attracting the types of clients that were right for us.
So we undertook a huge brand refresh, which was basically a rebrand, but without the business name change. It took a bit of soul searching (it's not just about the visual aesthetics of your brand!), but it transformed our business.
How to undergo a brand refresh for a small business
A few months ago I jumped onto an Instagram live interview with rebranding expert Michelle Newell from The Storytelling Biz to share our brand journey on her Instagram series We Rebranded! In summary though, our One More Song brand refresh was very much about our brand (visuals, language, messaging, etc) catching up to align with our values and where our business was headed, ie our business strategy!
